Nexus NYE 2011 Los Angeles

Friday, December 31st, Blue Insomnia, Ninja Skillz, Project Alma, Curious Josh, and Project Fresh Present –> NEXUS 2011. Join us for “The Union of the Tribes,” A New Years Eve Celebration featuring 5 Stages, Indoor & Outdoor Areas, Playa Art Installations, Fire Spin Jam, Interactive Art, Performances AND MORE! Costumes Highly Encouraged!

Five years ago, a pack of brightly colored dancers and party goers crowded in the stairwell of a downtown warehouse and a mixture of curiosity and excitement came to a crescendo, as the LA Underground walked into the very first NEXUS. At that time, our goal was to create a sort of alternate reality within the confines of a boxing ring and some empty storage rooms where family and friends could gather to shake off the dust of the previous year and joyfully welcome the new one. We devoted ourselves to keeping entertainment quality high and ticket prices low. We wanted a space where the whole LA Community could gather. Not just house-heads, breaks junkies, burners, hippies, or whatever the freaks were calling themselves, but one single family unit. Since then, our goals haven’t changed. The only thing different is the sheer amount of Awesome that you can expect from yer pals at Blue Insomnia, Ninja Skillz, Project Alma, Curious Josh and Projectfresh. In no previous year have we added so much creativity, inspiration, and diversity from the community… and it’s all for you. So strap on those dancing shoes, don your Freak Chic, and hustle that bustle out to where your family’s going to be on New Years, 2011. This year is going to be truly EPIC, and this is the first of many updates you will be receiving as the event continues to grow, evolve, and manifest. Yeah… we said it.
